Loop is a digital platform where the needs and experiences of people receiving Aid (humanitarian or development) can help to shape the type and quality of services which are funded and delivered.
Loop believes that everyone has an opinion about the Humanitarian and Development aid that they receive and that everyone is an active agent of change.
We also believe that by listening, understanding and engaging with these experiences, there will be more impactful programs, policies and funding decisions.
Technology now exists to listen to everyone, people have the right to be heard and there will be better services as a result.
In the humanitarian and development field, it is widely accepted that the needs and perspectives of the most marginalised, vulnerable and underserved people are not effectively incorporated into the design and funding of the services aimed at supporting them. They are treated as charitable beneficiaries rather than active agents of change.
Loop is a global digital platform...
Loop envisions a world where everyone, including those who are marginalised, vulnerable and underserved, can share their opinion and experience in a safe, open, transparent and equitable way to affect positive social change at the individual, community and global level. Increased engagement, learning and listening through this exchange will result in: Increased dignity and agency for affected populations, as well as more relevant, coherent, effective, efficient, impactful, and sustainable services, delivered via a people-centred, inclusive and equitable ecosystem.
The Loop platform will be
Loop is an accessible global digital platform, enabling an independent, permanent and interoperable common service for feedback. Loop is designed to find ways for people to feel confident and be able to share their opinions in a safe, meaningful, and transparent manner, so that it improves lives and changes behaviour at scale.
"This is the way of the future, it’s a necessity. Why does this not exist already?"
"It's simple upfront yet sophisticated solution to a complex deeply routed issue."
"Loop could be the entry point for the real change we are all dreaming of. And we are in need of such innovative initiatives in our countries."

Loop has big ambitions but it is a long road to get there. Today Loop has started operating in Zambia and the Philippines in English and through the website. With support from partners and donors we will add on new functions and ways to connect all the time. We have a lot to learn but strong guiding principles to help us get there.
